The innovative creations or arts for children and teenagers are often treated with extreme admiration. However, while they do provide much needed entertainment for the kids, they also influence the thoughts and expectations of the younger generation. Apart from idolized dolls such as Barbies, there are also creative arts including idealized cartoons and popular artists that shape the values of the kids.
Despite having been emotionally moved watching those romantic fairy tales, I still realise the disgraceful impact they possess. You know the types: the flawless, beautiful princess and the impeccable, gentlemanly prince, having gone through all kinds of “traumatising” conflicts, will live happily ever after. Unfortunately, as touching the story is, it probably won’t happen in your life. Children do not understand that. Instead, unreasonable hopes will flash through their minds, unconsciously taking charge of their mindset as they look for their beauty of the universe or fantastic prince charming. Disappointment ensues.
Popular young artists have similar influences. Nowadays, appearances seem to have taken over singing ability as the most essential factor for success on the stage. Girls especially, tend to blindly idolize “hot” boy bands. The increased sexualisation and portrayal of those young artists does not help much. Sometimes, I can easily mistake a popular music magazine as pornography material by looking at its cover page, as designers attempt to attract young girls’ attention by having half-naked boys flashing their eight-packs. As these kinds of images sink in their minds, they dream. My friend for instance, is so obsessed she labels a handsome Taiwanese singer “her husband”. What are the chances of that happening? Even if it does, I’m sorry, but the singer will not be as perfect as he is portrayed.
In contrast to the reality, despite occasional conflicts, success seems to appear more frequently than failures in kids’ cartoons. Likewise in general, winning a video game seems to be easier than succeeding in real life. Just when kids expect to ace life like the main character of their favourite cartoon does, reality hits. Frequently on the news you see teenagers committing suicide, as they succumb to pressure brought by the society. Either that, or you see teenagers addicted to the fast enjoyment of winning a computer game. Only a handful manages to stay in reality and deal with the pressure it brings.

Holidays
Orginally I planned to write a very emo post; but I don't feel too emo atm, so I guess I'll leave that till I get that emo feeling again; I hope I will never finish that post (:
Nice Quote:
"Every 60 seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back"
So, don't emo =]
Anyway, holidays have been extremely unproductive so far in terms of homework; in terms of social life, probably the busiest holiday I've had so far.
***OMG I HAVE TO FINISH THIS BY 11:59!!!
Hmm..
Last Saturday it was Herrick + Sam Cheung's birthday, and we went out to play futsal at Vermont South.
We were divided into 3 teams;
Red - Augustine, Farn, Josh So, DLee, Me
White - Herrick, Looi, TuckS, Kai, Dean, TLoo
Random - Sam, Jeffrey, Angus, Adhi, Jacky
Group Photo:

You're kidding me its 11:46 already
WELL Sunday we went movies and saw transformers with 10 others, and it was AWESOME!
Random plot though.
For photos, check out Thomas Loo's blog which can be found in the links on the right.
Monday, I went running with Katrina and her brother Jonathan at Doncaster Athletics Track, and uhhh...i ran 6 laps with Jonathan and Katt ran 2 less than us because she's...hmm...lazy! xD
And then I went to her house and had some yummy garlic bread; not bad.
When I was about to leave, Katt tries to make me sing despite not holding up her end of the deal of running hard...jokes jokes she did run hard alright. Although I tried to avoid it but in order to leave with my head in place (yes she was that scary =p) I was forced to sing TongHua. It was actually a good experience and I'm sorta glad I did sing. =] SO THANKS FOR BEING MEA....NICE KATT!
OH DAMN ITS 11:56
Ummm tuesday we had aths, it was painful and I almost died.
Thursday I ditched aths because my legs are still sore
Today!
Well Kat was even lazier this time and didn't even bother running with me. (Nah it was because of the rain and only crazy people like me go out to risk a cold)
Ummm..I finished running and had lunch at Kat's place. Food is good Thanks Katt :) And I chatted with her for a couple of hours, saw her awesome Alpine passport xD and uhhh..made a deal:
If Hans Leung gets an ENTER > 97.5, then Katrina Lai is doing Specialist Mathematics.
Good. Done and recorded. Cannot take it back now =]
Ahhh yes for more details of what I did on Monday & Friday, visit http://konnecttokat.blogspot.com/
Oh no I think I went overtime...uhhhh.
Okay so now I have 3 minutes to change whatever I can...
Sorry for the fobness of this post, I simply can't write fast ><'
Hmmmm
Next week...
Going to the city on Monday which is something I look forward to; and Tuesday...problems have arised but hopefully everything will go well with the Aqualink Box Hill Sports event.

The week.
Sorry guys, I haven't really put any effort into blogging in the past few weeks.
After several of you semi-rage at me for the obvious lack of effort, I decided that I should update my former weekly but now monthly blog.
The week which I labelled the biggest week of my life started with a total nightmare: a fever that reached up to 40.08 degrees celcius two days before my Chem exam; is it swine flu? perhaps, I have no idea, but it's treated like a swine flu case. Even though I was so tired and my brain can barely function, I was still so confident that I'll score very well in my exam; so I rejected any ideas of getting a derived exam score. The school treated this very seriously; at one point, I didn't even know if I can take the paper. But after hardwork by Mr. Ramalingam and Mr. Pountney, I got my chance. And I flunk it. AGAIN. I can blame it all on my illness but no, my brain functioned perfectly well that day, I simply succumbed to pressure on the big occasion, once again. Sure the paper was hard, but it was totally doable.
This hurts way more than Geography last year; as oppose to doing only 1.5 practice exam papers for geo (including the trial paper the school made us do), I did every exam paper the school threw at us, which was about 15? Or even more. Funny how in the past I like to mock the hardworkers who totally fail their exams, now I'm one of them. I apologise to those people.
Now, I've pushed myself onto the edge; if I flunk any one of Mathematical Methods, Specialist Mathematics, Chinese as a Second Language advanced or English at the end of year; Uhh...I don't know what will happen. Best not to think about it. As Mrs. Larn says, "as long as you relax and take it easy, I can't see you falling into the worst case scenario, the worst case scenario being not making into your current preferred course of Actuary at Melbourne". So, take it easy, stop stressing, and calm down Hans Leung.
Oh well. Although the result was not ideal, but I would still like to thank Mr. Ramalingam and Mr. Pountney for finding me a way to sit for the paper, and thank you to the lady examiner who was braved enough to supervise a swine flu victim, ie me.
GAT was cool; I did it the same way as my Chemistry paper, and GEORGE CLOONEY! Fun.
Mr. Rama scared me during the GAT:
After a few exchange of words about sports notices...
"Oh Hans, so you shouldn't be going to the...."
(2s pause), probably longest 2 seconds in my life
"...English Oral."
phew...
"So, next time I see you will be at the..."
(another 2s pause as he scratches his head)
"...Formal on Saturday."
I was so close to celebrating but then realised I'm taking an exam xD
Hate him for scaring me but like him for allowing me to go to the formal =], all balances out I guess ;)
So, on a brighter note, the formal!! =]
Not much to say about it...well, didn't really want to mention you since you don't wish to appear on my blog =p BUT...since I'm mean and evil I'll do the opposite:
Thank you Kattriinaa Laaii!! I'm so happy that you came along, it's you who made the night fun and memorable for me and, I'll always remember every single moment of it as well! =]
I would also like to thank:
Justin Kuang for organising the party bus
Chuankai Lim for letting everyone gather at his place
Ms. Sangster for organising the event
Mr. Ramalingam for his role as the guard
The DJ for finally putting on slow music towards the end =]
Tuck Seng and Tom Loo for being cool pplz
Nelson's Mum - Biggest thank you for everything she did; Nothing would have happened without her kind assistance.
And everyone who went and made the night enjoyable!
I'll let the photos do the rest of the talking:

For more images, please visit Hans Leung's facebook page at www.facebook.com/hL7hL17 and add him as a friend.
Songs I've been addicted to in the past week or so:
Miserable at Best - Mayday Parade
Electric Romeo - uhh...
Flexin' - Blue
Untitled - Simple Plan
It's me against the world - Simple Plan
Tonghua - Guangliang
More posts coming real soon!

Match Report + RAMAzzzz
Before going on ramaz..
Firsts Soccer Match Report
CAMBERWELL WITH LATE EQUALISER AGAINST ARCH RIVALS TRINITY
Camberwell 2:2 Trinity
Scorers: Nick Krousoratis, Mitchell Bissinger (95th minute?)
Red Cards: Lawrence Lara, Trinity No. 26 idiot
Yellow Cards: James Tsalkos, Mitchell Bissinger, and many other Trinity fools
What a game. It was almost a copy of the game against Mentone in which Bissinger scores a 95th minute equaliser, except this was way more intense and played under somewhat unfriendly conditions.
Both teams started the game with high intensity. Although Trinity had more possession they didn't do anything with it; in contrast, Camberwell's counter attacks are more effective with players having half chances and Max Sciessere striking the bar early on. James Tsalkos picks up the first booking of the game with a hard tackle on a random Trinity guy.
Despite creating minimal chances, Trinity found their way through with great work by Mr. Green boots on the right. His drilled cross deflected off Lawrence Lara and the hard tackling defender was unlucky to score an own goal. Trinity picked up tempo after the goal but still proved incapable to create any decent chances.
Camberwell is extremely unlucky to be down 0-1 at half time.
Both teams came out with incredible determination as the intensity rises even higher. A silly shuff from a Trinity tard on Krousoratis set off the bomb as state players Bissinger and Trinity No. 5 were involved in a heated exchange. For some unknown reason only Bissinger was booked.
Camberwell finally fought back when a good header by Alex Demirtzoglou set off Krousoratis on the right, he kept his cool with a volley finish and Camberwell is right back on level terms.
Camberwell makes their first substitution with Daniel Lee replacing Tom Dartnell. Matt Hatzikostas moves to defensive midfield and Lee goes onto the left wing back position.
Out of no where, a certain No. 26 Trinity tard attempts to scare Lawrence Lara because Lara is Asian. Lara fights back with a scream of "WTF IS YOUR PROBLEM YOU F***ING C**T" in front of Camberwell Grammar Deputy Headmaster Julian Dowse's 4 year old son, thereby showing the Trinity Tard that Asians are not for them to bully.
With luck on their side, Trinity manages to score an offside goal mid way through the second half against the run of play, a cross from Random Trinity guy found another random trinity guy and his header found another random trinity guy who was offside. The last random Trinity guy heads the ball in and goal was counted despite furious protest from Camberwell sweeper Kristian Konstantinidis.
With only five minutes left, Camberwell coach Doug Chisholm throws on impact subsitute striker Hans Leung for Hatzikostas in hope for the equaliser they much craved.
Temper continues to flare as No. 26 Trinity tard, in a racist manner, attacks Lawrence Lara again because Lara is Asian. Lara retains his Asian pride with a push back at No. 26 Trinity tard. The referee, spotting No. 26 Trinity tard's disgraceful behaviour, sends him off with no hesistation. He then sends Lara off too because he is Asian.
A desperate Konstantinidis moves up front to attack and Ragheb El-Bay, who had an outstanding game, moves back to control the defence.
Hopes of scoring seem to be fading for Camberwell as Bissinger makes a huge clearance away from the danger zone. Ball goes out of play and Sciessere picks for a quick throw. Receiving the throw Leung turns away from the defender and lays it off to Krousoratis, who puts in a hopeful ball to the box. Several Trinity tards somehow mishit the ball, which falls to Bissinger, who calmly ensures those several Trinity Tards will have nightmares in days to come. The crowd went absolutely wild as parents and teachers begin hugging and kissing each other, while an ecstatic Bissinger throws off his shirt in the craziest celebration ever with his teammates.
2-2, the final score, but Camberwell clearly came on top purely by their determination; they were unfortunately robbed by Trinity.
anyway,
Funniest Methods lesson EVER on friday
After recess we rocked in to ur classroom slowly and casually. Most people were few minutes late as usual, since our lockers are 1000 miles away from the room. As we stroll in expecting the famous line "WHY LATE?" from Ramaz, we were also not so surprise to see that the teacher desk is empty, since Ramaz himself comes late once a while anyway.
The Ramaz sequence:
-you've been "scolded" million times by Mr. Ramalingam for being late to class, but never received any actual punishments:
"WHY LATE?"
"umm.."
"SPEAK!"
"sorry..."
"Don't say sorry! Just give me the reason!"
"Imma ummm..ummm...."
"TERRIBLE REASON / TOO SLOW! SIT DOWN!"
*everybody laughs*
Anyway, we all chilled in class as we wait to make fun of Ramaz when he turns up late and embarrassed. 15 minutes or so passed away real quickly and people began to realise something might have happened. Nitesh ran down to his office to see if hes around, **Note: we can see his the outside of his office from our classroom, and apparently he saw ramaz casually strolling around the school with Mr. Christopher. rofl. We couldn't stop laughing.
another funny 10 minutes passed away as everyone bagged the school's chemistry department until Ben Lee calls for everyone to come over to the window. Ramaz was right below us randomly wandering around, looking lost. All in a sudden he turns his head up towards the class room, and we all ducked below in hope that he won't see us. around 10s later we slowly rise back up hoping that he is gone by then...and he saw us! He immediately realised what happened and held his head in shame, then turned and sprint towards his office at a speed Usain Bolt will be proud of. His reaction simply made my day. For some reason it took him ages in his office, probably because he had to slow down to prevent other teachers from suspecting him. He came out sprinting again as we opened the windows and yelled "WHY LATE?" as he runs towards M-Block furiously shaking his head in disbelief of himself.
A minute later he rocks into the room and we all pretended to be quietly working until someone could not hold it and everyone bursts out laughing. Ramaz kept apologising saying he forgot and some guy just went: "Don't say sorry, thats not a good enough excuse". And ramaz just went: "BUT I REALLY COMPLETELY FORGOT!!!". Now we know what reason we should use if we turn up late to class next time. lol.
In the end, we made ramaz perform his clap push up as a punishment. rofl.

Time flies. Chem Mid Year is in 3 weeks. (Which means formal is also soon =]...and english oral. and GAT. =[)
I underestimated the difficulty of the paper after scanning through it the other week, really struggling now, got 7 multiple choice wrong (out of 20) for the STAV practice paper, not a good sign at all...that'll get me what...33? damn.
Our Head of Science / Chemistry textbook writer / Chem Teacher isn't really helping either. Only influence he has is confuse you even more...
After clarifying that the rule for the splitting in H NMR is number of neighbouring hydrogen ADDED together plus one few weeks ago, I thought the confusion for the rule is gonna come to an end...
But today, I asked about the H NMR of butane..and Mr. Wilko didn't know how to answer, so he researched on the internet. 10 minutes later he called me over, and went: It produces a heptet and triplet. (Me: Why heptet (7)?) Wilko: because its 3 TIMES 2 plus one (notice the rule is not times, it is adding) I was like..I don't understand sir. And he just went: "thats right Hans" and literally looks down and runs away from me to prevent further embarassment. rofl. But fortunately Tuck Seng discovered a much better explanation to the problem, and now I think we are the only ones at school with decent understanding to this problem, since none of the chem teachers (Mr. Collins aside perhaps) seem capable of understanding it (and therefore confuses all students).
sigh...who says private school teachers are a lot better.
but my target doesn't change. I musn't come out of mid year knowing that I drop any marks.
Another funny moment in chem today..
We were doing a prac, and we were on to the last stage collecting the aspirin crystals by filtering away the liquid. Ashok Rana (the 51/50 methods guy), being the extremely fastidious guy he is, adds the solution to the filter without looking...and 10s later he realises that he hasn't even put filter paper onto the thingo. He just looks up and smiles weirdly at TuckS and me. lol. And then the whole fixing up process attracted lotsa attention. freaking hilarious. haha.
Methods SAC in the afternoon. Having not done any exercises since chapter 6 (augustine and me lol), I was actually a little worried as I walked in pretending to be relaxed. But turns out that the methods department again proved to be incompetent to produce anything that is challenging enough to put the average score below 95%.
It was a 90 minutes SAC. TuckS stopped writing after 30 minutes or sth. I soon followed and began waving at Mr. Ramalingam for fun. By the 60 minute mark, rama decided to let people leave early, and half the examination room was empty by the 61 minute mark. My goodness. Some guys who made a mistake at the start had to redo the whole thing, and still manage to finish with plenty of time to spare. Now I just hope that I won't make a silly mistake somewhere, coz dropping 1 mark may mean A+ to B. (ranking system)
Spesh has dominated my time in recent weeks, good thing is that I'm very confident with integration now, just gotta improve the application and relearn related rates, then i'm good for next weeks life or death SAC. Why life or death? Coz I failed the first one. I need to score very well in this to redeem myself..or else it's over. Wish me luck.
Ok enough academics.
The upcoming formal is really exciting; it seems to be the only thing the asian group talks about during lunchtimes. I still have many things to sort out but hopefully everything will turn out fine =] it'll be a memorable day.
Last Friday I went to the Pines Library, met Katt for the first time. Despite me being a little unresponsive and slow, Katt was really nice and cheerful all along and kept me in the conversation. =] So it was fairly fun and relaxing. We chatted about quite a few topics and I also (surprisingly) managed to get a few spesh questions done. I also met her friends Gary, Sui-Ann and Rachel, lotsa laughter that day xD.
Football (Soccer) wise, all is good. After warming the bench for the firsts for 2 consecutive weeks, I played seconds last week against Peninsula.
As a new player to the team, I started on the bench. Not long into the game, Augustine Chuo unleashes a volley into the bottom left corner from Tambo's cross. 1-0. Prekash soon joins the scoresheet with a cool finish. Peninsula somehow scores one back out of no where, but jackson whittaker puts the game to bed with a good touch and shot into the bottom left(?) corner. Playmaker sam cheung adds another one with his left foot soon after, great strike. When I came on it was already 4-1, so I had lotsa fun on the pitch. Peninsula wasn't the best team, and our attack was fairly freeflowing, lots of nice passing and moves. Personally I'm pretty happy with my perormance, no goals, but had an assist for prekash to make it 5-1 towards the end. A sorta downside to the game was my curling shot which injured the keeper; since peninsula has no subs, their keeper exchanged roles with the defender. I hope their keeper is alright.
The Robinson Kids Under Cover Soccer Appeal charity event organised by Dan Lee and me ended last thursday. I must admit we slacked at times, but Mr. Rayner was always there to save our ass xD so all went well and we managed to raise 900ish dollars. However, we could've raised more if the hot chocolate fundraising thing went as plan...but oh well thats too bad. $900 is not bad for a first attempt, and most importantly, everyone enjoyed the event. Just by estimation, we get 150ish people on normal days (almost 1/4 of the whole high school) and I would say almost 250 ppl watching the final (and when teachers are playing), which is a very good turn out. Thanks for everyone who came to support us.

DREAM COME TRUE
I GOT A+ IN ENGLISH FROM MR. WOOD!!! YESS!!!
Sorry everyone, I just had to brag.
But yeah, English has long been my obvious weakness out of all subjects.
Last year, out of all the hw essays i've handed in, i only managed to achieve A twice.
This year I've been getting consistent Cs and C+s in all my essays apart for the two Bs in the point of view task and the sac, which is not that bad at all considering how harsh mr. wood marks. But not very bright.
And now, all in a sudden; Mr. Wood, who is widely recognized as the harshest marker in our school that rarely ever dishes out any grades above a B, gives me a 19/20 for my language analysis, and 17/20 for my point of view essay. I just can't believe it. It is, a dream come true.
Is this just a little spark within perpetual darkness? Can I keep the level up?
I have no idea if i can. We'll see, but this definitely gives me hope; with hope, comes motivation. COME ON!

Ups and Downs
I guess life is always full of ups and downs
After that calamitous saturday night, life seems to be good again. Apart from the occasional down times, things generally went well this week.
Monday was judgement day.
Methods SAC back first, not the best result ever, but it's acceptable.
Chem SAC back next, pretty good, unfortunately they decided not to count the marks though. (Coz Ben Lee stuffed up the AAS machine causing some ppl to stuff up the prac)
Had my period with Mr. Mason, and I got a feeling that he likes my Language Analysis and Point of View writing, which is encouraging. Although I do think that the next piece I'll submit will turn out disastrous. XD
Judgement day finished with my chinese sac results. Not too well done at all, but still equal top in my group, and i guess thats the important thing in this whole ranking system crap.
Tuesday I ditched soccer training due to my cold.
Can't remember what happened on wednesday.
Thursday was the last sac day of the term.
Chemistry sac.
Though I'm satisfied with my speed, I made some mistakes, including misinterpreting the question while I was checking..AGAIN. At least 2 marks off for me. Oh well. I guess I'll have to work harder for organics to rectify the situation.
Anyway, recently I've been "minesweeping" a lot against my friends.
There was this crazy five games streak where four ended up 26-25, and another 26-24. Two was against Farn, one against Jacky and another two versus TuckS

and then i went on an unbeaten run of 8 games...
including two where Jacky Sing "rage quits" after falling behind.

LOLL. "Rage quit" is a phrase used by Jacky when he bags people for quitting a game. Now he's doing it. Hahahaha.
btw, here's what (perverted) guys talk about on msn:

hahahaha.

I cannot sleep.
I try closing my eyes but my mind never shuts.
I went to sleep at around 11 last night, woke up at 2 to make sure I've recorded the United Fulham game correctly...
I actually went to sleep with some sweet thoughts at 11. But when I tried to sleep again at 2, it was a total nightmare. All my problems seem to hit me as sucidal thoughts flash past my mind.
To be honest, I probably wasn't that physically ill. Not physically ill enough for me to miss THREE days of school anyway. It's probably more the mental side of things which killed my brain during the week.
I don't know why I'm so mentally weak.
I really don't.
I guess I'll have to work and improve on it. Hopefully before I kill myself.
Anyway, since I couldn't sleep, I went and watched the game.
Another humiliating disaster.
Paul Scholes was sent off early first half for a reflex handball. Commentators been saying not that the referee has other choices, since the rules say so. Well stuff the rules. It's absolute nonsense. Asif conceding a penalty isn't enough, it's basically ending a team's chances of winning.
Not that United did much to improve their chances either. Crappiest performance EVER in the first half. And Yes it was worse than the show against Liverpool.
Second half got better as energetic Rooney replaces the sleeping Berbatov, and to their credit, United did play better, creating many chances and fulham was lucky to survive because of Australian keeper Mark Schwarzar (is that how you spell his name?). Unfortunately we didnt get our breakthrough and Fulham buried us. To make matter worse that retard of a referee sent rooney off as well for trying to restart the game asap.
FACT: Referee Phil Dowd is a biased loser.
Well yeah, that was traumatising.
Fortunately enough, Chelsea also lost to Tottenham, just about the only thing that cheers me up.
After that I decided to finally start my weekend homework...the language analysis essays. But I can't get any ideas in my head. So I blogged.
Now that I've nothing much else to write about...hopefully tiredness will take over my problematic and fearful mind and allow me to have a good morning's sleep...
Byebye..

Sick at home
Aiyaaaa...
I hate colds.
Got one last thursday while waiting for eric lu after table tennis...
didn't seem serious at first, but i didn't really get better after a while. Ended up missing school on monday, wednesday and today. Not that I learn much at school anyway. But I do feel that the cold is hindering me in some ways, e.g slowing my brain down (ie becoming retarded); it's also a brilliant excuse for my lacking of prudence throughout the week, especially in that methods SAC.
I still find it funny how, I misread the question while i was checking my paper (during my 20 mins checking time), and changed my originally correct answer to a wrong one. Arrrghhh.
On a brighter note, I got my English SAC back yesterday, and to my relieve, I managed a B in probably my weakest area (context), without finishing my statement of intention. Mr. Wood says the average for our class is a C+ (our school does a ranking system). Knowing the incredible standard of our school (nearly 40% of ppl achieve 40+ in english each year), future looks fairly bright. =] Just gotta work harder and maintain/improve my standard.
Now, on to one of yesterday's hilarious moments..
As people always say, don't be overconfident, coz you are likely to end up disappointed.
A-shock always seems to make the mistake however. That, along with the arrogant and dishonest nature of his, makes his mishaps rather funny.
Since he lied to me and tucks about the chem sac (i had to wake tucks at 1 to change our answers due to ashok's lie), I finally realised why everyone dislikes him so much.
On to the funny moment..(Note: The conversation isn't in exact words, but it's the same meanings)
Yesterday during methods, ashok kept smiling weirdly in farn, augustine and my direction. After a while...
Farn: "So Ashok, how did you go in the methods sac yesterday?"
Ashok (evil smile): "well, 50? Maybe 51 out of 50?" (in an arrogant manner, the sac was out of 50)
About a minute later...
Ashok: "You know that f and f inverse graph question?" (with a sly smile)
Farn: "what about it?"
Ashok: "Did you get it?"
Farn: "ah i dunno...what did you get?"
Ashok (obnoxiously): "it's actually just y=x"
Farn: Oh ok. yeah.
Ashok (in a bet-you-didn't-know-it tone): "And there's a restricted domain, from 0 to infinty"
LOL. Yeah, the restricted domain is actually from 1 to infinity. Sorry Ashok, 51 out of 50 isn't quite gonna happen for you.
Well, I guess that isn't really funny unless you know ashok yourself. But yeah, moral of the story is, don't get overconfident, and definitely don't be arrogant.
Anyhow, the other day, I played farn in msn minesweeper...one day after my tight game against tuck seng which finished 26-24.
This is how the game looked before farn wins it with a 25% chance guess:

my phone camera system stuffed up... =S oh well. but you can see the situation, farn has 25 bombs, and theres one bomb left. the score was tied 25-25. every space has on the lower side has been filled.
Note: The paper from the bottom is the picture jacky sing took with my phone, in his bid to "remember" the chem sac XD

Small Update (academics)
Not feeling particularly well this week, and the SACs did not help much.
Got my spesh sac back on tuesday, and the number in front is simply not a laughing matter. I knew I didn't ace due to time limit, but further disappointment followed =S
English sac results will be out tmr. Again, due to time limit (didn't even finish the statement of intention lol), I know i didnt ace. This, along with my terrifying english skills, pretty much puts me out of contention for an A+ or even A. To my relieve, Mr. Wood (head of english and my english teacher) apparently said he wants to get hit by a train because the overall standard was so disastrous. (which means perhaps i'll manage to pass since its a ranking system (10% ppl A+, 10%ppl A 20%ppl B+ etc), soz everyone but i'm evil)
Had chinese sac on tuesday, it was a listening response test. I think I did my best, but may get punished coz of my phrasing in some questions. So I'm not too sure whether I aced, but I'll see.
Lastly, methods sac is retarded. i'll leave it at that =S
btw, Prison Break is back in a month! Last six episodes!
